Group history

The first time that we met to play was at a friend´s studio in 1994. We recorded during the whole session. Most of the recordings were improvisations.

Two years later we met again. At that moment a friend asked us to compose the soundtrack for his independent film. A series of sessions started in the brand new "El Paso" studio. It was then that the first compositions appeared. They are "Rio Bravo", "Pirámides" and "Ciudad Dormida".

At the begining we played in few live concerts, but as time went by we devoted ourselves to the work in the studio. The quantity of instruments that we used would have made it necessary for us to have many more musicians on stage in order to perform alive.

In 1998 we released our first CD (Correctum Alchimiae). We included 19 songs that summarize our varied musical preferences. For instance, you can perceive the Mexican frontier influence in songs such as "Maria Elena", "Rio Bravo" and "Abilene Waltz". Similarly, there are influences of classical music in the strings arrangements ("Suite Lunar", "Correctum Alchimiae"). We also included a version of Canon in D. "Mare Imbrium"opened the doors towards the experimental and background music which we later explored.

In 2000 we released our 2nd CD called "Viejas Capitales". n this work we focused on the song format and the soundtrack style ("Aberdeen Coast", "Oregon", "Carretera Olvidada").

The third CD ("La Cruz de Hendaya"), released on November 2001, is a fully ambient work. The main theme is the Alchemy which is appreciated both in the music ("La Cruz de Hendaya", "Quintus") as in the cover.

In 2003, our fourth CD "Tres Olmos" was releasedand include 14 short songs ("Agua bajo el desierto", "Reseda", "Bosques sagrados", etc).

Our new album "Lenguaje de los colores" contains 13 instrumental pieces with a song format ("Sueño recordado", "Amazing Grace ", "Eldorado", "Palacio cerrado", etc).

Among our most relevant musical influences we can cite Ry Cooder, John Hiatt, Brian Eno, Pat Metheny, G. F. Haendel and many others.
